It's very personal liking and everyone has different choices it's not generalised. But most common choice is oil painting though they are costly but then can be maintained for years!

In general people like happy joyful paintings . But it's not specific for everyone cause everyone has different perception about painting đź–Ľ so I would say it's totally personal choice in choosing a painting.
