What is the difference between Mysore painting and Tanjore painting?

I am online Quran teacher 7 years

Mysore paintings are more subtle and done on paper, while Tanjore paintings are done on cloth stretched over wood.

Yes Acrylic paint can be used in Tanjore paintings. Originally colours made out of vegetables were used but now poster and acrylic paint works well. Other elements used in Tanjore paintings are gold leaf, semi precious stones etc
