What is FlexField? Explain types of flexfields?

FlexField, as name suggest these are these fields are implementation specific flexible fields. Key Flex Fields / KFF - are critical for the business, where Chart of Accounts /COA; Product Category can be defined using these. These are required for Financials , Manufacturing implementations. Descriptive Flex Fields / DFF - These fields are specific to the organization, for example Oracle Apps comes with standard columns list in Sales Order tables, but if organization want to add new field that do not exist in standard structure these can be extended. generally stored in Attribute1 to Attribute15 fields in standard tables. These are generic names, in order to understand what Attribute column holds you need to look at DFF definition to assign one of these fields and retrieve or label accordingly. read less
