Answer 
First of all oracle 10G is deprecated version. 12c is current version. Any beginner can go for 11G. No remarkable criteria required. RDBMS concept may get extra mileage.

First of 10g DBA certification has been expired. So you better learn either 11g or 12c. To learn DBA at least you have good knowledge on SQL and it will be better if you PL/SQL too.
