In this session, student will learn about voice culture and voice training in Indian classical music. Student will also learn about breathing techniques, how to correct pitch and Kharj sadhana for more clarity and perfection. Different breathing exercises will be carried out to achieve breath control in music. This is followed by Aakar Sadhna to improve resonance.
Next, swara practice (Sa–Re–Ga–Ma–Pa–Dha–Ni) is done in madhya saptak to build pitch accuracy and sur stability with the help of tanpura.Alankar and palta exercises are practiced in different patterns and tempos to improve clarity, agility, and laya control. Gradually, the voice is extended to mandra and tar saptak without strain. The session often concludes with Raga alap or bandish practice, applying technique to musical expression. Overall, the session strengthens the voice, improves control, and builds the foundation for expressive classical singing.
