This is not a lecture — it is an experience. Through dramatic storytelling, vivid narration, and deep philosophical inquiry rooted in the Indian Knowledge System, students will journey through the Bhagavad Gita verse by verse while also drawing connections to the Upanishads, Vedantic philosophy, the Puranas, and the living wisdom of Dharmashastra. Students will learn the three paths of the Gita — Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, and Bhakti Yoga — and understand how each applies to their own personality and life situation. They will explore concepts like Dharma, Atman, Maya, Gunas, and Nishkama Karma not as abstract ideas but as practical tools for navigating relationships, work, loss, and identity. By the end of the course, students will have a compass — one that was always within them, now made visible.
Come with an open mind and a willingness to question everything you think you know about life. A notebook and pen are encouraged, as insights tend to arrive when least expected and deserve to be captured. Students may optionally bring a copy of the Bhagavad Gita — any edition, any translation — though this is not mandatory as all relevant verses will be shared and explained during class. Most importantly, bring your real questions, your unresolved confusions, and the parts of yourself you haven't quite figured out yet. That is precisely the material we will work with.
