This class is designed for students in Grades 3 and 4 (Ages 8–9) who are beginning their mental maths journey. No prior experience is needed — this is a beginner-friendly, confidence-building programme that makes numbers exciting from Day 1.
Note: If your child is above Grade 4 but new to Vedic & Mental Maths, don't worry — Level 1 is still the right starting point. Older students typically progress through the material faster due to their stronger grasp of concepts, so the level can be covered at an accelerated pace tailored to their age and ability.
Who is this class for?
Children who want to calculate faster, build stronger number sense, and develop genuine confidence in maths. Ideal for students who rely on fingers, struggle with times tables, or feel anxious about maths in class.
What will students learn?
Across 24 one-hour live online sessions, students will master:
- All multiplication tables from 2–10 with deep understanding (not just memorisation) using clever strategies like the Doubling Chain, Magic Fingers, and the Turn-Around Rule
- Mental addition and subtraction of 2- and 3-digit numbers, left-to-right, without pen or paper
- The ancient Vedic "Nikhilam" subtraction method — solve 1000 − 384 in under 3 seconds
- Multiplication by 11 and 9 instantly using pattern-based magic tricks
- The Digital Root method — a 2,500-year-old Vedic technique to self-check any calculation
- Doubling, halving, number splitting, and divisibility rules for faster everyday maths
- Real-world applications: money, change-making, shopping, and everyday problem-solving
- Grand Mastery Finale with a tournament and Level 1 completion certificate
Sessions are structured in three tiers — Foundation, Mastery, and Stretch — so every child is challenged at exactly the right level. Every class includes a speed game, a real-world problem, and bite-sized homework (5–8 problems). Parents receive regular progress updates.
