Guiding students for the UGC NET in Philosophy has been a deeply engaging and intellectually rewarding teaching experience. As a mentor, I focus on building a strong conceptual foundation in both Indian and Western philosophy, covering key schools such as Nyaya, Buddhism, Vedanta, Plato, Kant, and contemporary thinkers. My approach emphasizes clarity of concepts, critical analysis, and interlinking themes across topics.
I design structured lesson plans, regular tests, and previous year question discussions to help students understand the exam pattern and improve accuracy. Special attention is given to logic, reasoning, and philosophical terminology, which are crucial for NET success. I also encourage active discussion and doubt-solving sessions to strengthen analytical thinking.
Over time, I have observed significant improvement in students’ confidence, writing skills, and conceptual depth. Many students have successfully qualified NET, reflecting the effectiveness of a disciplined, student-centered, and exam-oriented teaching methodology. We would go through every detail for the exam subsequently and according to the needs of students.
