About This Class
Welcome to a structured and focused CBSE Class 10 English Board Preparation Course designed for students appearing for the 2026–27 CBSE Board Examination. This four-month programme is planned to help students complete the prescribed NCERT syllabus systematically while developing strong conceptual understanding, effective answer-writing skills, and confidence in approaching different types of examination questions.
The course covers the complete English syllabus, including First Flight, Footprints Without Feet, reading comprehension, grammar, and writing skills. Each component will be taught in a clear and organised manner, with sufficient attention given to both understanding the subject and applying that understanding in board-style questions.
Literature Preparation
The literature portion will focus on developing a clear understanding of each chapter, poem, and supplementary reader lesson. Students will study important themes, characters, events, ideas, literary elements, and other examination-relevant aspects of the prescribed texts.
Instead of depending entirely on memorisation, students will be encouraged to understand the content and learn how to express their ideas effectively. Important questions and different question formats will be discussed regularly so that students become comfortable answering literature-based questions.
Grammar and Writing Skills
Grammar preparation will focus on strengthening the concepts required for the CBSE examination and improving accuracy through regular practice. Students will work on relevant grammar topics and learn to recognise and apply the appropriate rules in different questions.
Writing skills will receive dedicated attention. Students will learn how to understand the requirements of a question, organise their ideas, follow the appropriate format, and write clear and well-structured responses. Regular practice will help students improve their accuracy, presentation, vocabulary, and overall written expression.
Reading Comprehension
The reading section will include regular practice with comprehension-based questions. Students will learn how to read passages carefully, identify relevant information, understand the central idea, interpret questions, and formulate precise answers.
The aim is to improve both speed and accuracy while helping students become familiar with different styles of comprehension questions.
Board-Oriented Preparation
A major focus of the course is CBSE Board Examination preparation. Students will practise different types of questions, including short-answer questions, long-answer questions, extract-based questions, competency-based questions, and other relevant board-style questions according to the prescribed syllabus and examination pattern.
Students will also receive guidance on answer presentation, identifying key points, managing time, and avoiding common mistakes. The emphasis will be on developing answers that are relevant, organised, and appropriately expressed.
Regular Practice and Revision
The course follows a structured four-month plan. Syllabus completion will be combined with regular practice and revision so that students do not have to leave the entire revision process until the end.
Important concepts and previously covered topics will be revisited wherever required. Practice questions will help students identify areas that need improvement, while revision sessions will reinforce important concepts and examination techniques.
Teaching Approach
The teaching approach is designed to be clear, student-friendly, systematic, and examination-oriented. Complex concepts will be explained in simple language, and students will be encouraged to ask questions whenever they face difficulty.
The goal is not simply to complete chapters but to help students understand what they are studying, practise applying their knowledge, and gradually become more confident and independent in answering questions.
Course Duration and Class Structure
The programme will be conducted over four months, with regular classes of approximately one hour each. Batch timings will be arranged flexibly according to student availability, while maintaining a consistent schedule for effective learning.
The four-month duration is planned specifically around the preparation timeline for the 2026–27 Class 10 Board Examination, allowing time for syllabus coverage, practice, revision, and final examination preparation.
Who Is This Class For?
This course is suitable for CBSE Class 10 students who want structured guidance for English and would benefit from regular lessons, practice, revision, and board-oriented preparation. It can also be useful for students who want to strengthen their understanding of NCERT literature, improve their written answers, or become more confident with grammar, comprehension, and writing tasks.
The overall objective of the course is to provide students with a complete and organised preparation pathway for CBSE Class 10 English, helping them build strong subject understanding, practise consistently, improve their examination skills, and approach their board examination with greater clarity and confidence.
