This class for diploma mechanical engineering students.you have this subject on 3rd semester.For this class you must have minimum knowledge of areas and volume formulas for regular geometries.

About this course you will learn

• stresses and strains analysis on regular shapes like bars and cylinders.also learn about mechanical properties of materials,stress strain curves for ductile and brittle materials,solving elongation problems under tensile and compressive loads,learn about Elastic constants and Poisson ratio and solving problems.
• Concept of Thermal stresses,thermal elongation.
• Strain energy -introduction to Strain energy ,Derivation,and Analytical calculations on cylindrical members
• Shear force and Bending moment diagrams for cantilever and simply supported beams under concentrated point loads,uniformly distributed loads.
• Torsional loads on cylindrical members.Derivations, analytical problems.

for this course you must have a scientific calculator for solving the problems. After completion of this course you will able understand and solve the problems for diploma level.
