1.Divya-nama Kirtanas (Sri Thiagarajah)
2. Sankeertana (Sri Annamachari) or Devar Nama (Sri Purandaradasar)
Theory
1.Names of the seven swaras (saptha swaras).
2. Names of the twelve swara-staanams.
3. Definitions of Musical terms - Aarohanam, Avarohanam, Sruthi, Swaram, Staayi, Jantai Varisai.
Definition of signs and symbols used in notation - namely, Akshara-kaala signs (comma, semi-colon), Staayi symbols (only 3 staayi ie Mandra, Matya, Tara), Kaalam (only 3 kaala speed) or degree of speed signs, Taala anga divisions, Avartam endings. Numerical signs in (jaati), tala angam (lagu symbols) and symbols used for gamakams.
2. Swarastaanas taken by raagams handled in the practical lessons and their Aarohanam, Avarohanam.
3. Lakshanam of Geetam with the names of composers.
4. Triangam - Lagu, Drutam, Anudrutam - signs and definitions.
5. Sapta taalams and the scheme of 35 taalams using 5 jaatis in Lagu.

Master of Music, Vidwat in Music


She is a dedicated vocalist and exponent of the Indian Classical (Carnatic) style of music. Born in Bangalore,India now settled in Mysore. She started her journey in music which began at the age of Six.

She learned the Carnatic Style of music under, Smt Vidushi Susheela Murthy, Smt. Vidushi Gayathri Sathyanarayan, Dr. R.N.Shrilatha one of the renowned musician and professor in College of Fine arts, Mysore University.
She got Master of Music Degree from Mysore University and is 2nd
topper to Karnataka in Vidwat, conducted by Government of Karnataka.
Pushpa V Shankar has performed at various music events such as Mysore Dasara Music festival, Ramanavami Music Festival, Thyagaraja Aradhana and other events organised by renowned organisation.
She is now working as Guest Faculty in Dr.Gangubai hanagal University of Music in Mysore. and she is also training about 40 disciples
