Spoken English

In this class I will guide students about self learning by creating around themselves an environment to learn English with free resources like radio, television and newspapers. There are different ways to learn English. I will guide students about getting exposure to good English. Most people have access to the media.

For example I myself learnt English at school by listening to radio news daily. Iwould first listen to news in Hindi and after that in English. This way I was able to learn correct pronunciation. Another good idea can be to learn five new words daily.

There is a lot of scope for peer learning. 2-3 students can form a group and practise speaking English. They can even turn it into a game by token punishments in the form of points lost if someone speaks some language other than English.

In my Master class I would get students started on this path of SELF LEARNING.
