The sketchup and Lumion application is widely used by architects, interior designers to build a 3d model and then used to convert to a 3d visualisation.

The course covers:

Sketchup:

1.Introduction to the interface - panning, units, setting the working plane, Axis activations.

2. Tools and its properties. 

3. default tray options - shadow settings, materials settings, soften edges

4. 3d modelling 

5. Groups and components

6. Contour surfaces and sandbox

7. Single Sections,Multiple sections, section effects, scenes and styles

8. Export options - 2d exports and 3d exports

9. Textures 

10. Plugins - Detailed demo of the pluglin options

11. Advanced Plugins for parametric modelling - steps to install and instructions.

 Lumion:

1. Introduction to interface

2. Material application and material settings

3. Day render

4. Luminaries and night render setting

5. Outdoor environment

6. Landscape components

7. Walkthrough making

8. 3d animations (basic to advanced)

Preferred Version : Sketchup 2021 and Lumion 11

It is a hands on workshop where students will learn along te tutor. Doubts will be clarified at the end of each class. Students have to share screen and work along the classes. Daily assignments will be given for practise and makes the student increase their speed the productivity.
