The Rubik's Cube is a 3-D combination puzzle originally invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik. Originally called the Magic Cube, the puzzle was licensed by Rubik to be sold by Ideal Toy Corp in 1980 via businessman Tibor Laczi and Seven Towns founder Tom Kremer. Rubik's cube, considered among the world's most popular puzzles, can be scrambled in more than 43 quintilquintillions^18) ways, even out passing the total number of grains in our earth. Among all these scrambles there's only one scramble in which the colors of all the faces are matched and the cube is said to be in a solved state. So what exactly does it takes to solve the whole cube? People often misinterpret solving the cube as a high intelligence level which isn't true.
