In this chapter we will understand the reproduction in organisms. How the organisms reproduce and interact with each other in their surroundings. We will also understand the mode of reproduction takes place in particular organisms and among species. how the organism develops themselves for reproduction. We will learn the process of reproduction in detail in this chapter. We will learn about the two types of reproduction - asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction in this chapter. Asexual reproduction is found commanly in lower invertebrates and also in organisms which have simple organisation. Asexual reproduction includes budding in hydra, spores formation, vegetative propagation. In this reproduction the organism is morphologically and physiologically similar to their parents. So they are considered as immortal And the rest we will cover about this chapter in detail in our class.
Types of reproduction:-
1) asexual reproduction:-
Budding
Vegetative propagation
Asexual reproductive structures in unfavorable
Conditions.
2) Sexual reproduction:-
Pre- fertilisation
( Gametogenesis, gamete transfer)
Fertilisation
( Fusion of gametes, zygote formation)
Post - fertilisation
(Embryogenesis, offspring development)
