In this class, we shall a topic from the biological sciences. We shall learn about 'photosynthesis'. This class is for students of class 10, studying in the IGCSE board. Some basic questions to guide us are: 1. What is photosynthesis? 2. Where does it occur? 3. When does in occur? 4. Why does it occur? 5. How does it take place? As you already may know, photosynthesis occurs in plants or rather green coloured parts of plants and other organisms. On a hot summer day, if one gets to rest below a big tree with lots of leaves, we get shade from the heat as well as feel fresh when we wake up. We feel fresh because the area around the tree is rich in oxygen and we breathe it when we rest below the tree. However, resting below the tree is not recommended at night as it will not be freshening. The reason for this is related to the process of photosynthesis. Lets learn more about this process - photosynthesis.
