Phonics

My phonics classes are specially designed for children between 4 to 8 years to help them build a strong foundation in reading, spelling, and confident spoken English. The course follows a systematic phonics approach, where children learn the individual letter sounds, sound formations, and how to blend these sounds to read words independently. Using Queen’s English pronunciation, children are guided to speak clearly and correctly from the beginning, developing accurate articulation and natural speech habits.

Each session is fun, interactive, and play-based. Children learn through stories, actions, songs, picture cues, movement, and hands-on practice, which keeps learning enjoyable and age-appropriate. The program gradually progresses from letter sounds → CVC words → digraphs and blends → sight words → sentence reading, helping children move step by step toward fluent reading.

The aim of the class is to enable children to:
