This phonics class is specially designed for children who can already recognize letters and are ready to take the next step towards reading. The class focuses on helping children understand the sounds represented by letters and use those sounds to read simple words independently.
Children will learn how to identify and pronounce letter sounds, blend individual sounds together, and segment words into sounds. We will begin with simple CVC words such as cat, sun, dog, and pin, and gradually move towards CCVC and CVCC words, consonant blends, digraphs, long and short vowel sounds, and common tricky words.
The lessons are interactive, child-friendly, and designed according to the child's learning pace. We will use repetition, examples, reading practice, speaking activities, and fun exercises to make phonics easy and enjoyable.
The aim of this class is not just memorizing words, but helping children understand how words are formed so they can confidently decode and read new words. Regular practice will also support spelling, pronunciation, vocabulary, and early reading skills.
