Course Objective

This course provides a foundation of PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) concepts, navigation, HR processes, and basic system usage.

By the end of the course, you will understand how organisations use PeopleSoft HCM to manage employee information, jobs, positions, payroll-related data, absence, time, and reporting.  

Module 1: Introduction to PeopleSoft HCM

Example lifecycle:

• Run processes
• Save and update data
• Effective-dated records

Module 3: Core HR (Human Resources)

This is the foundation module.

• Employee personal information
• Job data
• Employment status
• Department
• Location
• Position management
• Supervisor information

Example:

Employee moves from one department to another → update Job Data

Module 4: Organisational Structure

Understand:

• Company
• Business Unit
• Department
• Location
• Job Code
• Position
• Employee Record Number
