This class is basically for mbbs students finding difficultly in understanding the two different types of acute leukemia. This would be helpful for their practical purposes also , for spotters and for long cases. It of outmost importance that you understand the basic concepts of leukemia and how they would be manifestations both from clinical as well as for academic purposes.
I would be dealing from the basics: from the normal hematopoesis to what happens in leukemia and how the clinical features are manifested in the patient and also about the pathophysiology, Investigations, Blood smear and bone marrow findings. I would be sharing multiple pictures of the same for better understanding and the main differences between Acute myeloid leukemia and ACute lymphoblastic leukemia. How to identify the two types of blast in peripheral smear reporting.
The class would be conducted through zoom and it would be for a duration of 1 hour.
