This class is designed for beginners, working professionals, and students who want to gain a strong foundation in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, the industry-standard database programming language. Whether you are looking to start a career in database management, software development, or data analysis, this course will provide the practical skills needed to handle real-world database tasks efficiently.
Students will begin with Oracle SQL, learning how to query databases using SELECT
statements, apply filtering and sorting, perform joins, and work with functions and subqueries. We will then advance to PL/SQL, focusing on procedural programming within Oracle. Topics include anonymous blocks, variables, conditional statements, loops, cursors, exception handling, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers. Emphasis will be placed on writing modular, efficient, and error-free code.
The class is highly hands-on, with live coding exercises, assignments, and real-world examples such as employee management, inventory systems, and financial applications.
Requirements: Students should bring a laptop with Oracle SQL Developer installed. Basic knowledge of computers and logical reasoning is sufficient; no prior programming experience is required.
By the end of this course, students will be confident in writing and managing SQL queries and PL/SQL programs, making them industry-ready for database-related roles.
