My dance sessions are designed to offer a holistic and inclusive learning experience that nurtures both technique and expression. Each class is structured to cater to different dance forms—Bharatanatyam, freestyle, Bollywood, and fitness dance—while ensuring that students enjoy the learning process and develop confidence in their movement.
Bharatanatyam sessions focus on building a strong classical foundation. Classes begin with warm-ups and adavus (basic steps), gradually progressing to mudras, abhinaya (expressions), and choreographed pieces from the Margam. Importance is given to posture, rhythm, and storytelling through dance.
Freestyle and Bollywood classes are energetic and expressive, blending modern moves with Indian flavor. These sessions emphasize musicality, coordination, and performance techniques. The choreography is tailored to suit beginners as well as those with prior experience, encouraging creativity and self-expression.
Fitness dance sessions combine cardio workouts with rhythmic movements. These are designed to improve stamina, flexibility, and body strength while dancing to upbeat music. The aim is to make fitness enjoyable and sustainable through dance.
My core aim is to make dance accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful for all students, regardless of age or experience. I believe dance is not just an art form, but a medium of expression, fitness, and cultural connection.
The objectives of my dance classes are:
- To build a strong technical foundation in various dance styles.
- To encourage creative expression and boost self-confidence.
- To enhance physical fitness, coordination, and rhythm.
- To promote discipline, cultural awareness, and teamwork.
- To prepare students for stage performances and self-development.
Through my classes, I strive to create a positive and inclusive environment where each student feels inspired, supported, and empowered through the joy of dance.
