To multiply a two-digit number by 11, add the digits and place the sum between them.

Example: 23 × 11 = 253

(2 + 3 = 5, so answer = 253)

2. Squaring Numbers Ending in 5

Example: 25² = 625

Step:

Multiply 2 × 3 = 6

Write 25 after it

Answer = 625

Similarly: 35² = 1225

3. Multiplying by 5

Divide the number by 2 and multiply by 10.

Example: 48 × 5 = 240

4. Checking Divisibility by 3

If the sum of digits is divisible by 3, the number is divisible by 3.

Example: 123 → 1 + 2 + 3 = 6

Since 6 is divisible by 3, 123 is also divisible by 3.

5. Percentage Trick

10% of a number means moving the decimal one place left.

Example: 10% of 250 = 25
