IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is designed to assess the proficiency of the candidate in the English language, and it uses 4 modules to achieve the task. Band 1 to 9 are awarded to the student, 9 being an expert user of the language, 8 (Very Good), 7 (good), 6 (competent), 5 ( modest user).Â
In this particular training set up, we will discuss 9 specific topics.
- Social Issues. 2. Life and Leisure. 3. The world around us. 4. Cultural concerns. 5. Health matters. 6. Back to school. 7. In the papers. 8. On the road. 9. Looking ahead.
As we know, there are 4 modules in the IELTS test so, in accordance, each of the topics mentioned above will deal with the issue circling around the four modules, namely, Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.
Speaking part in each of the mentioned 9 topics will help the candidate improve considerably, be it vocabulary, pronunciation, fluency or the appropriate tone and stress.
A very important part of this training program is the interaction with the trainer, so we expect all candidates to record their response and send it to us and, subsequently, our team will filter the responses and, eventually the candidate will interact with our chief trainer directly so that the progress and improvement can be monitored on a regular basis.
Speaking is common to both the versions of the IELTS test, Academic as well as General.
Reading module of the IELTS test has two versions, Academic and General. In this particular training system, more emphasis is on the Academic version although the general candidates can benefit immensely by going through the academic module.
The focus here is on the types of questions and the technique we can explain and elaborate upon, so that the candidate can grasp the essence of the reading question paper and deal with it accordingly.
Here again, we expect the candidate to interact with our team on a regular basis and, based on the response, our expert trainers can come up with specific methodology which will be unique to each and every candidate and take care of their individual needs and concerns.
Listening is a module in the IELTS test which can be very easy or very difficult to overcome. Here, Quantity as well as quality is of utmost importance. Our library consists of unlimited materials and we have the expertise to choose the right requisite unique to the individuals weakness and enhance it into a strength.
As in Reading, in Listening too, many of our students have scored a perfect 9 and we have no hesitancy in stating that, with the motivation coming from the candidate and our guidance and mentoring, any candidate can hope to achieve the perfect 9, that is, Band 9 out of 9.
Last but not the least, comes the writing module. Our experience tells us that no matter how good and excellent the level of English a candidate has, if not taken seriously, writing can turn out to be a barrier very difficult to cross, particularly if the requirement is Band 7 or above. Our mantra is, we leave ne stone unturned to ensure that our candidates understand the perils and we provide the wherewithal to bring out the best each and everyone is capable of. Suffice it to say that of all the four modules, we, together with the candidate, take it as a challenge and deal with it accordingly, giving due respect yet gaining in confidence day after day.
