Futures and Options Breakthrough (FOB) is Level 3 of Market Veda Academy and provides structured education in the derivatives market. The course begins with futures fundamentals, including contracts, expiry, margin, leverage, long and short positions, and the risks associated with leveraged instruments. Students then learn options through calls, puts, strike prices, premiums, expiry and ITM, ATM and OTM concepts. The program introduces intrinsic value, time value, volatility, and the basic role of option Greeks in understanding option pricing. A major component focuses on Open Interest analysis, where students learn to interpret price, volume, and OI together. Concepts such as long buildup, short buildup, short covering, and long unwinding are explained through practical market examples. The course also introduces risk-defined strategies, basic hedging concepts, position sizing, and leverage management. The objective is to help learners understand how derivatives work, why they carry significant risks, and how derivative-market data can be analysed. The program is educational in nature and focuses on knowledge, analysis and risk awareness rather than providing daily options calls, trading tips or guaranteed strategies.
