First Class Overview
The first class is focused on building a strong foundation in karate. Students will be introduced to the basic principles of karate, including discipline, dojo etiquette, safety rules, and the importance of respect and self-control.
The session begins with a light warm-up and stretching exercises to prepare the body. Students will then learn the correct fighting stance, balance, posture, basic footwork, and how to make a proper fist. They will be introduced to fundamental techniques such as basic punches, blocks, and kicks with emphasis on correct form rather than speed or power.
The class ends with simple practice drills, a cool-down, and a short review to ensure students understand the basics before moving on to more advanced techniques in future sessions.
