This course is designed for students, working professionals and career changers who want to learn Java without requiring any previous programming experience.
We begin by installing the Java Development Kit and writing simple programs. Students then learn variables, data types, operators, conditions, loops, methods, arrays and strings. The course gradually progresses into object-oriented programming, including classes, objects, constructors, encapsulation, composition, inheritance, interfaces and polymorphism.
Students will also work with Java collections, generics, streams, exception handling, files, Maven, JUnit testing, debugging, Git, JDBC databases and concurrency fundamentals. Every week includes guided coding, independent exercises and a practical project.
By the end of the course, students will build and present a complete Java application with persistent data, error handling, automated tests and proper documentation. They will have the foundation required to continue into backend development, Android development, automation testing, enterprise software, cloud development or data structures and algorithms.
Students need a laptop or desktop, internet access and permission to install the required development tools. No prior programming experience is required.
