Home Science for Class 11

This class is for students of standard 11, from different boards, such as, State board, CBSE board, ISC board & NIOS board.

CBSE: Students will learn Introduction to Home Science, Understanding Oneself: Adolescence, Understanding Family, Community and Society; Childhood, Adulthood.

ISC: In this board, students will learn Concept and Scope of Home Science, Food and Nutrition, Resource Management, Human Development, Textiles and Clothing, Communication and Extension.

NIOS: Students of open schooling get to learn The Art and Science of Managing Home, Food and Nutrition, Resource Management, Human Development, Textiles and Clothing. Optional Modules: Housekeeping, Creative Hand Embroidery.

Karnataka State Board (1^st PUC): Students will learn Concept and Scope of Home Science, Resources, Fundamentals of Management, Management of Time, Energy and Money; Concept of Food and Nutrition; Basics of Nutrition; Principles and Methods of Preparation of Food; Human Growth and Development; Biological Beginnings of Life; Infancy; Introduction to Textile Fibres; Fabric Construction, Care of Clothing, Extension Education and Communication, Communication for Home Science Extension.
