This class covers the basic skills and tools you need to start playing guitar.
With over 18 years of teaching experience training kids and adults I've come to realise that most people go through music or learning instruments without really knowing why they are doing what they are doing.
Why do you fret with specific fingers?
why do you strum like that?
why do you count before playing?
why do you hold the pick in that particular way?
Questions people seldom ask and never get a concrete answer for. There is a method to all music. For everything you learn, there should be a corresponding reason and application in other aspects of music. My lessons rely heavily on this fundamental value. Everything this couse covers is something you will use conscious or unconsciously in your journey ahead.
Students can expect to learn about: warm up exercises, counting/time in music, note names and values, picking and fretting techniques, major and minor chords, strumming patterns, major and minor scales, how to set up practice routines, how to read tabs, upto level 2 trinity and rockschool certification training, and more.
