The DELF A1 (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) is an entry-level French language certification designed for beginners who are starting to learn French as a foreign language. At this level, students learn to communicate in simple and everyday situations using basic vocabulary and expressions. They are able to introduce themselves, talk about their family, describe their daily routine, and interact in short conversations.
Learners develop a foundation in essential grammar, including present tense verbs such as être and avoir, simple sentence structures, and basic agreements. The focus is also on building vocabulary related to common topics like food, school, hobbies, and places. Students practice four key language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
DELF A1 is suitable for school students and beginners with little or no prior knowledge of French. The main purpose of this level is to help learners understand and use familiar expressions confidently. It builds confidence and encourages learners in real-life situations.
