Quadratic Equations is an important topic, generally covered in the second semester. Factorization is one of the ways to find the roots or solutions of quadratic equations.
Factorization will also help you in determining zeroes of a quadratic polynomial (covered in semester I). Quadratic Equations are also involved in other chapters like Coordinate Geometry and Arithmetic Progression where they are required to find perticular values of unknowns in given situations.
Factorization is also required in std. 11 and std .12 in many topics and it often becomes imperative to find the factors mentally and quickly.
Topics covered in the session:
- Introduction to concept of Quadratic Equations
- Roots of Quadratic Equations and comparison with Zeroes of a Quadratic Polynomial.
- Understanding the basics of splitting the middle term and some other means to factorize.
- Some typical and some atypical problems.
