Pre-requisites

No prior knowledge of embroidery is expected of the student. The student should have a passion to learn ethnic embroidery The student is expected to have a Computer with internet connection (broadband) and web camera. The classes will be conducted through Skype

. One meter white cloth . Embroidery threads - different colors . One Embroidery Ring or Hoop - mediumsize . Needles of size No.8 . Scissors . Pencil . Notebook for writing down instructions . Tracing or Carbon Paper (Yellow)

Sujatha Rao has conducted workshops on embroidery/handicrafts on Doordarshan (Podhigai TV) and Dakshin Chitra. She has also been invited as a Judge for various handicraft/ embroidery activities conducted in local schools and charitable organizations. She can communicate effectively in four languages – Tamil, Kannada, English and Hindi.

Sujatha Rao, a woman entrepreneur from Besant Nagar, is adopting the modern day technologies to teach students at their convenience at home through online training tools. All the student need is to have is a Computer, Web camera and internet connection. Many economically backward students have benefited from her teaching and started tailoring units commercially to increase their household income.

"A fantastic tutor I must say. Her knowledge and experience in her domain reflects very well in her teaching.May be that is the reason for her to teach online at such ease. Very friendly and patient in teaching.Even the silliest of the doubts are cleared with no hesitation.Perfection is what she insists and she proceeds to the next level only when you are perfect with the techniques at the previous level.Frankly speaking I felt a bit low when it was my last class. But I can always learn from her again Kudos to a great teacher. Thank you ma'am. "

Embroidery

"I always had a great aspiration to learn embroidery. I never got a opportunity owing to various commitments and priorities.How ever, Sujatha Aunty's online embroidery class came as a boon .At least to me ,I have a flexible and customized timings which helps me to manage my other priorities in life.The quality and procedure of training is very effective.Its almost three months and my TV,Comps, Phones in house shows off my embroidery skills!!!!. "I learnt kutch embroidery thro online mode from her.She is an excellent teacher.I doubted a bit whether online mode will work for learning embroidery but it turned out very well.It was really a good experience,flexible timings and Stress free.About Sujatha mam,she was very friendly and her way of teaching is awesome.She has lots of patience and teaches everything repeatedly.She teaches everything from basic.She never discourages people.We can choose our timings.Overall its really worth to join her class.If you have love for handworks then she is the one to choose..
