This is the first unit of NCERT Biology Class 11(CBSE Board),

Here we will be learning about the living world,followed by biological classification and finally about the plant as well as the animal kingdom. Reading of this unit is crucial as this unit will help us to understand the further four units which are also equally important.Skipping of any units is not a wise decision and is therefore not recommended.

This unit has a weightage of 15 marks.

So I would recommend that whoever will  opt this class please try to make notes  in a separate notebook and also sit with your ncert book.And also reading the ncert book is strictly recommended.

Here we will come across various terms like what are the universal rules of nomenclature,why is it important and so on.We will also come across various definations and try to understand them like what is nomenclature,taxon,what is the taxonomic hierarchy.
