This class is for developers, IT professionals, and computer science students who want to break into DevOps or add modern cloud automation skills to their profile. DevOps is one of the highest-paying specialisations in tech today — and this course teaches the exact tools companies use.
Students will get hands-on experience with the complete DevOps toolchain: CI/CD pipeline setup using Jenkins and GitHub Actions, application containerisation with Docker, container orchestration with Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, and monitoring and alerting with Prometheus and Grafana.
Every concept is taught through real projects. Students will build a working CI/CD pipeline, containerise an application, deploy it on Kubernetes with zero-downtime scaling, and set up live monitoring dashboards. These are portfolio-worthy projects that demonstrate real skills to employers.
Students need a laptop with internet access. I will guide all tool installations and account setups in the first session — everything used in this course is free or has a free tier. Basic familiarity with any programming language or Linux commands is helpful but not required to start.
I hold the DevOps Engineer certification (MicroDegree, 2025) and completed a 6-month AWS & DevOps internship building production-grade pipelines. I teach from real experience — not just theory — and every session is focused on skills you can immediately apply.
