This course gives students a clear and practical introduction to Data Science. It is designed for learners from Grade 7 up to B.Tech 4th year who want to understand how data is collected, processed, analysed, and used for decision-making. The course covers core concepts such as data types, basic statistics, data cleaning, visualisation, and simple predictive modelling using real examples.
Students learn through hands-on activities that build strong problem-solving skills and help them see how Data Science is applied in everyday life, academics, and industry projects. This course is ideal for beginners who want a strong foundation before moving into advanced topics like Machine Learning or AI.
Curriculum (22 Hours):
• Introduction to Data Science and real-world applications
• Types of data, data collection methods, and basic terminology
• Understanding spreadsheets and simple data handling
• Basic statistics: mean, median, mode, range, and distributions
• Data cleaning: fixing missing values, removing duplicates, formatting
• Data visualisation using charts and graphs
• Hands-on exploratory data analysis (EDA)
• Simple predictive modelling concepts (without heavy math)
• Mini-project: analysing a small real dataset and presenting insights
