Entering Data into Cells:
- Selecting Cells: To enter data, click on the desired cell where you want to input information. The selected cell is highlighted.
- Typing Data: Once a cell is selected, start typing the data you want to enter. You can input numbers, text, dates, or formulas.
- Moving to the Next Cell: After entering data, you can press Enter to move to the cell below or use the arrow keys to navigate to adjacent cells.

Adjusting Cell Formats:
- Number Format: Excel offers various number formats, such as general, currency, percentage, date, and time. You can select a cell or a range of cells and apply a specific format from the Number Format drop-down menu in the Home tab or by right-clicking and choosing Format Cells.
- Date and Time Format: When entering dates or times, Excel can automatically format them based on the chosen format. You can also customize the format using the Format Cells dialog box.
- Currency Format: You can apply currency formatting to cells, which adds a currency symbol and specifies the number of decimal places.
- Custom Format: Excel allows you to create custom number formats to meet specific requirements.

Applying Basic Formatting Options:
- Font Styles: You can change the font type, size, and style (bold, italic, underline) using the Font group in the Home tab.
- Cell Borders: Excel provides options to add borders to cells or cell ranges. You can choose different border styles, thickness, and colors from the Border Styles group.
- Cell Alignment: Excel allows you to adjust the alignment of cell contents horizontally and vertically. You can align text to the left, right, or center, and align vertically to the top, middle, or bottom of a cell.
