CyberSecurity Foundations
This class is designed for beginners, college students, and anyone interested in starting their journey in cybersecurity and ethical hacking. It is especially helpful for students who want to understand how cybersecurity works in real-world environments and how security professionals identify vulnerabilities in systems and web applications.
In this course, students will learn the fundamental concepts of cybersecurity, including how the internet works, basic networking concepts, common cyber threats, and how hackers exploit vulnerabilities. The class will also introduce practical tools and techniques used in cybersecurity such as Kali Linux, basic reconnaissance methods, and an introduction to web application security and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
The focus of this class is practical learning. Students will see live demonstrations of how security tools work and how vulnerabilities can be discovered in a safe learning environment. By the end of the course, students will have a strong foundation in cybersecurity concepts and a clear understanding of how to continue learning ethical hacking and security testing.
Students only need a laptop with internet access and a willingness to learn and explore cybersecurity concepts through practical examples.
