This class is designed for students of Class 9 who are interested in understanding how everyday electrical and electronic devices work and how they can be installed, tested, and repaired safely. The course follows the CBSE Skill Education curriculum for Electronics & Hardware (Subject Code 420) and is aligned with the job role of Field Technician – Home Appliances, with strong focus on practical learning and employability skills.
The instructor brings 10+ years of hands-on experience in electronics and hardware projects, including working with microcontrollers, sensors, embedded systems, and real-world troubleshooting. Students benefit not only from textbook concepts but also from industry-style practical approaches used in actual electronics projects and service environments.
Students will learn the basics of electrical and electronics, including AC/DC concepts, circuits, Ohm’s Law, and energy consumption. They will work with electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, LEDs, transformers, and ICs, and learn to measure parameters using multimeters and other tools. The course also covers tools and equipment, soldering and de-soldering, and proper handling of instruments. A major practical component includes installation, repair, and maintenance of RO water purifiers, along with troubleshooting methods and basic customer interaction skills. Strong emphasis is given to health, safety, and workplace hazards, including electrical safety and proper waste disposal.
In addition to the CBSE curriculum, students are introduced to how hardware connects with modern technology. They will get conceptual exposure to platforms like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and basic embedded systems, helping them understand how electronics is used in AI, automation, and smart devices. This builds early interest toward future project development and final-year project readiness in higher classes.
Who is this class for?
Students who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and want to explore careers in electronics, robotics, appliance servicing, or engineering.
What should students bring?
A notebook, pen, and enthusiasm to learn. All essential tools and components are provided during practical sessions, and safety procedures are strictly followed.
