This Master Class is for Class 10 and 12 students and BSc first-year students interested in pursuing a career in Biotechnology.
I would like to give you an overview of the career prospects that you can have. All you need to do is, ask any queries or doubts you have regarding Biotechnology as a career option.
I will start with the basics, biotechnology’s history. Then discuss basic biotechnology techniques like plasmid isolation, Polymerase Chain Reaction, RT-PCR, restriction digestion, and cloning meth, and a brief introduction to upstream and downstream processing will be given too.
I will share my personal experiences on my journey in the biotechnology field and academic worlds, my journey of completing my PhD. I will relate all this to the current pandemic and the vaccine development process underlying the CORONAVIRUS pandemic.
There will be a 10 min question and answer session.
