This course provides the fundamental concepts in statistics and probability, with a focus on their business applications. The course will be completed in 25 sessions of one hour each. Two online quizzes will be conducted during the course.

1. Types of data: variables and attributes, data tabulation, graphical presentation and interpretation of data - frequency distributions, histograms, ogive curves 2. Measures of Central tendency - arithmetic mean, median, mode 3. Measures of dispersion - variance, standard deviation, mean deviation, quartiles, skewness and kurtosis 4. Bivariate Correlation and Regression 5. Multivariate Correlation and Regression using MS Excel 6. Probability theory and its applications 7. Probability distributions - Binomial, Poisson, Exponential, Normal 8. Business Applications of Normal Distribution

Who should attend

Students pursuing BBA or MBA programs in any Business schools will be benefited by this training. They generally have a course on application of statistics and probability as a core course in their curriculum. Apart from business schools, statistics is a core subject in many other streams as well.
