Who is this for?
This class is for students (ages 14+) who are curious about AI but think it's too complicated. Maybe they've used ChatGPT but have no idea how it works. Maybe they know basic Python and want to build something cool they can show their friends. Perfect for beginners who want to stop just using AI and start building with it.
What will students learn?
In just 2 hours, students will build a working AI chatbot from scratch! Here's the plan:
🔹 First 20 mins – AI demystified: What's actually happening inside ChatGPT? (Simple explanations, no scary math)
🔹 Next 30 mins – Hands-on coding: We'll use Python and a free AI API (Gemini/Mistral) to make our first chatbot that actually talks back
🔹 Next 40 mins – Make it cool: Students will customize their bot—give it a personality (sarcastic? motivational? Bollywood-style?), teach it facts, and make it respond to specific questions
🔹 Last 30 mins – Show & tell: Everyone shares their bot, we laugh at funny responses, and students walk away with a live project link they can put in their portfolio
What to bring?
Just a laptop with internet and basic Python installed. That's it. No AI experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to have fun.
By the end, students won't just understand AI—they'll have built it. And they'll realize they can do way more than they thought possible.
