This image represents our Beginner-Advanced Duet Chess Class, a focused two-student learning format designed for children who have already completed basic chess fundamentals and are ready to move ahead with deeper understanding and structured practice. The duet batch allows for personalized attention, ensuring that both students actively participate, ask questions, and receive immediate feedback from the coach.
In beginner-advanced classes, students work on opening development, basic tactics (pins, forks, discovered attacks), piece coordination, and simple endgame concepts. Special emphasis is given to thinking process, move justification, and board visualization, helping students move beyond just knowing the rules to understanding why moves are played. Coaches also introduce notation practice, game analysis, and correction of common mistakes, which is essential at this stage.
The duet format encourages healthy competition and collaborative learning, where students learn by observing each other’s ideas and strategies. Practice games are followed by guided discussions to strengthen decision-making and confidence. These sessions help improve concentration, analytical skills, patience, and strategic planning, preparing students smoothly for intermediate-level chess. Our beginner-advanced duet classes provide the perfect balance between individual focus and peer interaction, ensuring steady growth and long-term interest in chess.
