Class Description: Basics of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
This class is designed to build a strong conceptual foundation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering for students and beginners who want to clearly understand how electrical systems and electronic devices work in real life.
1. Who is this class for?
This class is ideal for Diploma students (EEE, ECE, Mechanical, Civil), first-year B.E/B.Tech students, ITI students, and beginners who are newly entering the electrical or electronics field. It is also suitable for students who feel the subject is difficult and want concepts explained in a simple, step-by-step manner. Non-core students who want basic technical knowledge will also benefit.
2. What will students learn in this class?
Students will learn the basics of electricity, including voltage, current, resistance, power, and energy. The class covers Ohm’s Law, simple circuit analysis, AC and DC fundamentals, and the working of basic electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, switches, and fuses. It also introduces basic electronics, including diodes, transistors, and semiconductor concepts. Practical understanding is emphasized through real-life examples, simple numericals, safety practices, and applications like household wiring and power consumption calculation.
3. What do students need to bring?
Students only need a notebook, pen, and a basic calculator. No prior technical knowledge is required. All concepts will be taught from the very basics, making the class easy, interactive, and confidence-building.
