This is a beginner-friendly workshop for anyone who wishes to learn crochet. We look at terminology, familiarize ourselves with the materials and basic stitches, and learn to make a bookmark! 

It covers:

• Introduction to crochet terms
• Reading patterns
• How to use hooks 
• understand yarn types, hook size, and how to choose yarn and hook for each project
• Making a slipknot, and chain. 
• Basic stitches: single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet 
• Make a bookmark (or a dishcloth or a coaster or whatever you wish to create) 

I am a crochet artist, experimenting with forms and play in my practice. I believe learning should center pleasure, joy, and fun, and allow space to both learn and bend rules. Come off to slow down, read a lot and write even more. I especially look forward to working with neurodivergent adults and children, and support you as you explore different ways of learning.
