No prior experience needed — just the passion to learn. 1. What will the students learn in this class? In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of photography, focusing on both technical understanding and visual awareness. The course covers: • Understanding the Camera • DSLR, mirrorless, and compact cameras • Exposure Triangle • Aperture • Shutter Speed • ISO (Each element will be explained separately and in detail) • ELEMENTS and PRINCIPLES of PHOTOGRAPHY • Elements - Line, Shape, Form, Color, Texture, Space, Value. • Principles - Pattern, Contrast, Emphasis, Balance, Proportion, Harmony, Rythm. • Composition Techniques • Rule of thirds • Leading lines • Framing and symmetry • Breaking the rules creatively • Light in Photography • Natural light usage • Golden hour and its impact • Midday light challenges • Artificial light basics • Color temperature and light control • Basic Photo Editing • Exposure and contrast • Color correction • Cropping • Sharpening • histogram By the end of the class, students will have a clear understanding of how to control their camera and create visually balanced photographs. 2. Is there anything the students need to bring to the class? Yes. Students are encouraged to bring: • A DSLR or mirrorless camera for hands-on understanding and better control over settings. • If a DSLR or mirrorless camera is not available, students may bring a mobile camera to learn the basics of photography. However, learning with a mobile camera will be limited to point-and-shoot concepts and will not cover full manual controls available in interchangeable-lens cameras.
