This class will be helpful to understand mapping the earth & overview and introduction on GIS & Remote sensing. Giving the idea how GIS essentially perform five processes or tasks to create spatial datasets.1) Input 2) Data editing 3) Management 4) Query and Analysis 5) Visualization. How this GIS platform gives us a greater efficiency and productivity to display and analyze the other subject related data like biology, botany and other social sciences. Also, will give a brief introduction on GIS software, open-source software, Google Earth & GPS. GIS is an exciting, and dynamic technology that merges nicely with many other technologies you may be interested in, such as video, web development, and phone apps.
For this class need some basic knowledge on Microsoft office, and some geography.
