Basic concept of chemistry 

inter conversion of prefix 

In our daily life, be often come across many physical quantities like mass,volume time, temperature
For measurement of all the quantity we use certain units

Like suppose we are purchasing, Milk, then we will use Litre or millilitre

Similarly, if we are purchasing vegetables, then we will use gram or kilogram

Obviously, obviously, these unit cannot be used for purchasing of cloth

There we will use metre

Now you can understand that   we need units for measuring physical quantity

All of you know that you read temperature in thermometer in Fahrenheit or in Celsius

For smooth dealing of the unit, we also need some prefix like kilo Mili,  mega

We cannot always use gram. We may need substance and milligram or centigrams 

Mili or centi are prefix
