This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Backend Development with Java, designed to help learners build a strong foundation in server-side programming and develop scalable, secure, and maintainable backend applications. The course focuses on both core programming concepts and practical development techniques used in modern Java-based backend systems.
Learners will begin by strengthening their understanding of Java fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, classes and objects, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction, encapsulation, exception handling, collections, generics, and file handling. The course then progresses into advanced Java concepts and backend-specific development practices, enabling students to understand how real-world applications process data, implement business logic, and communicate with external systems.
A major focus of the course is database integration, where learners will work with SQL and relational databases and understand how Java applications interact with persistent data. Topics such as JDBC, CRUD operations, database connectivity, transactions, and data access patterns will be introduced through practical examples.
The course also introduces Java backend frameworks and technologies, particularly Spring and Spring Boot. Learners will understand dependency injection, RESTful API development, request and response handling, validation, exception handling, configuration, and application architecture. They will learn how to design and develop APIs that can be consumed by web, mobile, and other client applications.
Through hands-on exercises and project-based learning, students will gradually build backend applications while following principles of clean code, modular design, debugging, testing, and basic security. By the end of the course, learners will have the knowledge and practical experience required to understand, develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend applications and will be prepared to continue toward professional backend development.
