How Gauss theorem can be used to derive expressions for electric field due to symmetrical charge distributions like infitely long linear charge distributions , infinite surface charge distributions .
This helps to evaluate the electric field strength at any point due to a given charge configuration .Â
Students will understand about electric field strength at different points between and outside two equal surface charge distributions or equal and opposite surface charge distributions.
Students will learn how invisible electric field can be visualised in terms of electric field lines .Â
They will understand about limitations of Gauss theorem .Â
