As an IELTS trainer, I have worked with a diverse group of students — from first-time test takers to professionals aiming for Permanent Residency in countries like Canada, Australia, and the UK. My training focuses on both Academic and General Training modules, with a strong emphasis on personalized guidance, practice, and results. Over the years, I’ve developed a structured and proven approach that helps students not only understand the IELTS format but also perform confidently and effectively on test day. I begin with an initial assessment to understand the student’s current level, target band score, and timeframe. Based on this, I design a custom study plan for every learner. In the Listening and Reading sections, I teach key strategies like skimming, scanning, keyword identification, and time management. I provide regular practice using real test-style material, with timed tests and performance analysis to track progress. For Writing Task 1 and Task 2, my focus is on helping students improve their structure, coherence, grammar, and vocabulary. I provide model answers, band-specific templates, and detailed feedback with reference to the official IELTS writing band descriptors. I also conduct regular writing correction sessions to help students break through the Band 6 barrier and reach Band 7 or above. In Speaking, I conduct one-on-one practice sessions using past cue cards and follow-up questions. I focus on fluency, pronunciation, lexical resource, and coherence — the four criteria used by IELTS examiners. Students receive feedback on each mock test, and I work with them on common challenges such as hesitation, repetition, and grammar errors.
